HAT-TRICK HERO

Striker Jack Vale scored a stunning hat-trick for Cymru U21's in the 4-0 defeat against Bulgaria in Sofia back in September and recently spoke to the media about his achievement.

Scoring with his right-foot, his left-foot and his head, Vale earned plenty of praise for his goalscoring ability and showed what potential he has to become the next to emerge through the pathway system.

“I always enjoy coming away with Wales,” explained the Blackburn Rovers forward who joined the club from The New Saints. “Obviously scoring the hat-trick was good for me and good for my confidence. I think the header to finish off the hat-trick was one of my favourite goals. I only realised it was a perfect hat-trick after the game when one of the lads said it, so I was buzzing with that really. I think my Dad got me into football the most and my brother, as he was the footballer in the family to start with. They were the two that got me into it and I've enjoyed it ever since.”

Meanwhile, manager Paul Bodin was keen to praise the performance of his striker when he spoke to the media last month. “He was a real threat,” explained Bodin. “He's a great player, he's still learning and he's got great potential, but when he puts on a performance like he did against Bulgaria you can see that he's a real, real player of great ability. If he can continue in that form then the future will be very bright for him and for us.”
